Melbourn Parish Council wishes to replace the damaged wooden boardwalk in Stockbridge Meadows Nature Reserve. This is an area of ecological importance and it is imperative that the boardwalk fits in the surroundings both in appearance and its effect on the environment both through construction and future use. As well as construction of the replacement boardwalk, the scope of this project will include sympathetic removal of the existing structure. A tender document with further detail is available to download. Also available are calculations prepared by structural engineers.
