NHS Staff and Social Care Relationship Counselling Service

NHS England and NHS Improvement is seeking to procure a relationships counselling service for both NHS staff and Social Care workers. The service will aim to offer support through three methods 1) A short intervention, solution focused helpline service (which would be first point of contact for both referrers and staff coming directly) - via a Relationships and Wellbeing Support Hub; 2)Targeted relationship support (longer, booked interventions, including counselling - livechat, webcam, telephone, email); 3) On-line, self-help resources - driven via real-time data and information gathering to both divert and "funnel" staff into the service. The service will be available to all NHS staff and Social Care staff who live and/or work within London Funding has been provided from National NHSE. The Relationship Counselling service was originally piloted in London and the Midlands in 2020/21. The service was found to be beneficial for staff and was then extended into 2021/22. This contract ended at the end of July so we now plan to create a new contract to run the service up to the end of March 2022. The contract value will be used to fund staff and technology for the service. The specific breakdown will depend on which provider is selected.
