NLI-HEANEY FILM - The National Library seeks to commission a film to compliment its award-winning exhibition, Seamus Heaney: Listen Now Again.

In 2018, the National Library of Ireland launched Seamus Heaney: Listen Now Again, a major exhibition on the life and work of the Nobel-prize winning poet. In 2019, the National Library of Ireland and the Department of Foreign Affairs collaborated on the creation of a modular travelling exhibition based on the exhibition. The purpose of the project was to create a portable, high-quality version of the exhibition that the Department of Foreign Affairs could mount across its global network in support of cultural diplomatic initiatives. The NLI now seek to commission a film that will form an elegant and innovative accompaniment to both the permanent exhibition and its travelling counterpart.
