Descriptions
This is a UK1 Pipeline notice in reference to the Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services (NEPTS) Provision of Taxi support services to East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
Whilst EMAS undertakes the vast majority of journeys, there is a need for extra demand in the system to cover the Non-Emergency Patient Transport side of things. The intention is to award separate lots, with taxi providers providing necessary service within that area. This will include transporting of patients to and from hospital for routine appointments predominately, but other journeys may be required.
Lots will be broken down to more regional sub-lots, but essentially:
Lot 1 - covering NEPTS Lincolnshire region to the area which East Midlands Ambulance Service currently provides this service.
Lot 2 - covering NEPTS Northamptonshire region
Lot 3 - covering NEPTS Derbyshire region
(Please note that each Lot will have a different contract period due to the NEPTS contracts with East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust and may be subject to change in line with any national changes or contracts).
This tender is for taxi's only, with the intended route to market being PA23 Competitive Flexible approach.
