Open
Non-Domestic Smarter Tariff Comparisons project
Descriptions
This SBRI opportunity forms part of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero's £65m Flexibility Innovation Programme, which seeks to enable large-scale widespread electricity system flexibility through smart, flexible, secure, and accessible technologies and markets. Delivering the benefits of demand side flexibility in the smaller non-domestic market will require a step-change in the tools available for consumers or third-party intermediaries, including services that help consumers understand whether they could benefit from time-of-use tariffs, wider smart tariffs and other flexibility products. Through this Innovation Competition, the department intends to fund projects that will identify, develop, and test innovative solutions that use customer data (including half-hourly consumption data) to provide tailored advice, recommendations and/ or comparisons of these products for smaller non-domestic consumers. The Department is hosting an on-line information event to inform the design of this potential innovation competition on: Tuesday 4th April at 2pm. To register for the event, and to hear more about this opportunity and next steps, please use the following link to the EventBrite registration form: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/flexibility-innovation-non-domestic-smart-meter-tariffs-information-event-tickets-574401047997
