North & Mid Wales Trunk Road Agency Surfacing & Associated Ancillary Works Framework

The trunk road in Wales is managed on behalf of the Welsh Government by three area covering North, Mid and South. WG have decided that, from 1st April 2012, the Welsh Trunk road network will be administered by single trunk road management unit with two geographic area of operation, comprising North & Mid Wales (N&MWTRA) and South Wales (SWTRA). N&MWTRA comprises: Isle of Anglesey County Council, Gwynedd Council, Conwy County Borough Council, Denbighshire County Council, Flintshire County Council, Powys County Council, Ceredigion County Council and Wrexham Borough Council. Gwynedd Council, who are the lead authority for the procurement of all N&MWTRA services, would like to invite suitably-qualified and experienced highway surfacing contractors to tender for the Surfacing & Associated Ancillary Works Framework. Works will include resurfacing of Trunk Roads, including associated ancillary works.At the discretion of the Partner Authority, county road work may be awarded.All successful surfacing contractors must have Sector Scheme 16 Accreditation; surfacing contractors that do not have this accreditation will not proceed to the next stage of procurement.All enquiries for further information and copies of the Pre-qualification questionnaire should be directed via email to: Sion Roberts (SionRoberts@gwynedd.gov.uk).
