The project aims to complete the following,, 1.Interior design, exhibition design, graphic design of the Environment Centre. Options to be provided to the Board of Directors via an online meeting for a decision on final design., 2.Management of the Installation and attendance at site meetings., 3.Construction of the Environment Centre exhibition space, including: removal of any temporary fixtures, doors and lighting (we will take advice on flooring); replacement of lighting, doors (floor if advised and within budget), repair any plasterboard or wall damage, paint out; create storage cupboard to enable storage of temporary displays; erection of bouldering wall; create and install exhibition displays., Criteria for the exhibition displays:, 1.The exhibition displays and material should be suitable for all age groups, cultures, genders and accessible to all; operating on the basis of equal opportunities., 2.The Scottish Gaelic language should be considered., 3.This is to be an exciting innovative exhibition space, as a showcase of what can be achieved, so needs to be bright, modern, and immediately enticing for visitors. Therefore, the design should be bold, and stand out from other exhibition spaces. We are not looking for a few posters on a wall – be creative!, 4.Natural materials should be incorporated; following the environmental ethos of the development., 5.The exhibition displays should be movable and/or designed with the ability to foldaway, so the space can be used for other purposes if necessary., 6.The displays should be multi-sensory and interactive i.e. different tactile materials, puzzles to challenge both children and adults, sounds, lights. The exhibition should be immersive and engaging, raise thoughts and questions and, even inspire innovation!, Your tender must include the following sections:, 1. An Introduction including a short summary (max 1 page) of your business/ organisation in the context of our specific requirements for this contract, detailing how your experience qualifies you to carry out this work., 2. An overview of your understanding of the brief and what is required, including the creative design approach, your understanding of work in a small remote rural community and your experience of similar projects., 3. A creative and project method statement, including details of how the deliverables will achieved., 4. Assessment and mitigation of any challenges and risks identified in delivering the project. This should consider potential impacts of further COVID-19 restrictions with proposals on how this could be managed., 5. Details of the proposed project team that will undertake the work. This should include individual responsibilities (including level of involvement), qualifications and any professional memberships, skills and experience (including past projects carried out which have relevance to this project)., 6. The total fixed price breakdown of fees and any associated costs. The cost should accurately reflect all charges. The pricing proposal should also consider provision for expenses, if necessary., All costs need to be inclusive of VAT. NUDC is not VAT-registered. The contract is fixed at 84,000 GBP inclusive of VAT and expenses.
