NWL0019 Community Dermatology Services - North West London

NWL CCG, requires a locally based support service in Hillingdon and Hounslow which will provide a consultant led integrated community dermatology service where patients are seen either by a consultant, dermatology registrar, GP with Special Interest or specialist nurse and where possible assessed and treated in one appointment. Key services required include: -Full diagnostic service including phlebotomy, biopsy, swab taking and reporting of results. -Prescribing medication aligned with NWL formulary and prescribing guidelines. -Collecting data for network wide audit and conduct local audits, including monthly reporting on case mix and an annual audit as specified by the commissioner. -Interpretation service for those users who don't have English as a first language. -Recognition of cultural diversity and meet needs of the population within the service. -Easily accessible location with access to transport links in terms of geographical location. -Ability to make reasonable adjustments to ensure services are accessible e.g. appointment times, duration etc. All premises are required to be compliant with the Disabilities Discrimination Act. -Ensuring systems are in place for the transport and analysis of diagnostic tests. -Biopsy results are received and acted upon within 1 working day of receipt of the result for appropriate intervention. -Reporting results and discharge summaries to the referring GP and should include treatment plan including diagnosis, medication and patients advice within 5 days. -Accessing diagnostic tests such as Bloods, Mycology, Dermatoscopy, Microbiology, Urinalysis and Virology. The CCG currently have the following contracts in place with Omnes -Dermatology to provide the above services in the boroughs of Hillingdon and Hounslow. Hillingdon, 1st September 2021 - 30th September 2022, value £977,796.00 Hounslow, 1st October 2021 - 30th September 2022, £575,045.00 These are two separate contracts and a scoping exercise is currently underway during which time, the CCG will assess the needs of the service users and consider how (if relevant) it needs to: -Secure the needs of the people who use the services. -Improve the quality & efficiency in the provision of the services including through the services being provided in an integrated way. The purpose of this notice is to be transparent about the CCG's intentions and to invite anyone interested in delivering the services described above to contact us by 4 March 2022. NWL CCG is considering options for making future arrangements for these services beyond September 2022 which may involve looking to tender the opportunity in the future. Any capable provider may come forward by 4 March 2022 to engage with the CCG. During 2022, it is anticipated that NWL CCG will be succeeded by an Integrated Care Board (ICB). Any future contract and/or procurement opportunity may therefore be in the name of the ICB.
