This contract covers:Domestic and Communal Gas ServicingRenewable Energy Equipment ServicingDomestic Central Heating InstallationsTerm of Contract: The contract will commence on 1.7.2014, and last for 116 months, ending on 27.2.2024. Please note that it is intended that Pre Commencement activity will include despatch of letters for 1st month servicing on 1.6.2014.The scope of Works is as follows:A. Servicing— 'Domestic Gas Servicing' shall mean the provision of a fully comprehensive year round gas fuel appliance maintenance and servicing service including Breakdown and Repair Works.— 'Domestic Solid Fuel Servicing' shall mean the provision of a fully comprehensive year round solid fuel appliance maintenance and servicing service including Breakdown and Repair Works.— 'Communal Gas Servicing' shall mean the provision of a fully comprehensive year round gas fuel appliance maintenance and servicing service including Breakdown and Repair Works.— 'Renewable Energy Equipment Servicing' shall mean the provision of a fully comprehensive year round renewable energy equipment maintenance and servicing service including Breakdown and Repair Works.B. Void Property Works— 'Void Property Works' shall mean the de-commission, provision of change of tenancy LGSR and new tenancy re-commission of all gas fuel appliancesC. Normal Working Hours and Out of Hours Repair and Emergency Service and Work— 'Normal Working Hours and Out of Hours Repair and Emergency Service' shall mean the receipt by the Service Provider of notifications from the Client's emergency call handling service of repair requests received during normal working hours and outside of normal working hours and the undertaking of normal working hour and out of hours repair and emergency Work.D. Domestic Central Heating Installations'Domestic Central Heating' shall mean the removal of existing and supply and installation of new full or part heating system (gas), including resident consultation, survey, specifying works and design service.Note: The client shall reserve the right to seek an alternative Service Provider for ‘Renewable Energy Equipment' if it is considered that at any time in the term of the partnership another provider can offer a more economical and cost effective service.Area of Operation — Orbit Heart of England — West Midlands, as defined above.Interested parties must be able to demonstrate proven ability to provide a service that can accommodate a potential volume of 17,000 properties, and have the ability to manage a large geographical area.Servicing: It is envisaged that the following will apply in relation to servicing:— total number of properties divided into 8 schedules— term of Contract will include 13 Service Cycles— December to February – no programmed servicingOrbit is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to be appointed to undertake this contract.Suppliers are reminded to read all information and instructions on WWW.HOUSINGPROCUREMENT.COM
