Piccadilly Line Upgrade - Transformer Rooms Detailed Design and Build

Descriptions

The four new transformer rooms will support the increased load demand and provide capacity for growth, which is not currently possible due to the insufficient power delivery points on the current low voltage substation switchboards. The Transformer Rooms are located at: Piccadilly Circus, Finsbury Park, Turnpike Lane and Hounslow West. In addition, the new transformer rooms are reducing the number of cable upgrades required and free up cable route capacity.
