Pilot of INTAKE24 in the Scottish Health Survey

Aims of the project:To assess the feasibility of integrating INTAKE24 into the Scottish Health Survey to collect nationally representative dietary intake data.This should include:a. an assessment of response rates for those completing the pilot and any impact on the main survey;b. assessment of feedback from participants and interviewers on using INTAKE24 as a means to collect dietary information;c. establishing the optimum method of integration of INTAKE24 into the health survey and the best way to elicit 2 recalls from participants;d. provision of baseline of dietary intake data for the Scottish population and comparison with the SDGs;e. comparison of the data collected from INTAKE 24 with data collected from the existing eating habits module and fruit and vegetable intakes estimated within SHeS;f. comparison of the dietary intake with health parameters (such as BMI) collected as part of the SHeS main survey.
