Preliminary Market Engagement for SAP Licences and Associated Support Services
Descriptions
The General Dental Council (GDC) is undertaking a Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) exercise to inform a future procurement for SAP licences and associated support services. The purpose of this PME is to engage with the market at an early stage to gather information that will support the development of a robust, proportionate, and future-proof set of requirements. This exercise will help the GDC better understand current market capabilities, commercial models, service offerings, and emerging innovations related to SAP licensing and support. Specifically, the PME aims to: Gain insight into available SAP licensing models, including options for optimising license usage and managing costs. Understand the range of SAP support services available, including maintenance, upgrades, managed services, and technical support. Explore innovations and new developments in the SAP ecosystem, such as automation and enhanced support tools. This PME is conducted solely for information gathering purposes. Participation in this exercise will not form part of any future evaluation or selection process, and it will not confer any advantage or disadvantage in any subsequent procurement. Any information provided will be used to help shape the scope, specification, and commercial approach of a future compliant procurement exercise. The GDC is not committing to proceed with a procurement as a result of this engagement, nor does this exercise constitute a call for competition. Engagement
As part of this Preliminary Market Engagement exercise, interested suppliers will be invited to participate in a structured virtual engagement meeting conducted via Microsoft Teams. Suppliers will be issued with a questionnaire in advance of the meeting. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the supplier’s responses to the questionnaire, seek clarification where required, and explore market capabilities, service models, and innovations relevant to SAP licences and support services. Participation in the engagement meetings will be limited and managed on a first come, first served basis. The first four (4) suppliers to submit a completed Expression of Interest (EOI) form via the messaging facility within the Delta eSourcing portal will be invited to take part in the virtual meeting. The EOI form is available within the Document Repository on the Delta eSourcing portal. Suppliers who are not selected due to capacity constraints may still submit written responses to the questionnaire, which will be considered as part of the overall market engagement exercise. Participation in this engagement process is voluntary and will not form part of any future evaluation or procurement process.
