United Utilities are looking to engage the market to understand who has capabilities of providing graphene enhanced concrete, which can improve the material's microstructure, potentially reduce cement use, and lower embodied carbon while enhancing concrete performance . During the AMP8-AMP10 capital programme UU are expected to pour large volumes of concrete and sustainable approaches are key to meeting various new environmental regulations. By exploring this innovation, United Utilities aims to lead the adoption of new technologies that support United Utilities' journey to net zero by 2050 and help open emerging low‑carbon markets.
