Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council seek tenders for the Provision of a Handyvan Service. Handyvan services play a critical role in the early intervention and prevention agenda by preventing, reducing, or delaying the point at which people need long term care and support. The Service is to carry out minor adaptations and repairs such as the installation of grab rails, fixing of uneven surfaces and the clearing of hazards can improve safety, wellbeing, and prolong independence. The anticipated start date of the contract is January 2023. The contract will be for three years with the option to extend for a further two years (3+2). Therefore, if all extensions were taken the full length of the contract would be for five years.
