Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council (BGCBC) wishes to appoint an experienced company to operate the boroughs 3 Town Centre Markets. Namely Abertillery, Brynmawr and Ebbw ValeThe traditional weekly markets are seen as an important feature and attraction on our local high streets and contribute to the vitality and viability of the Town Centres which we wish to maintain and strengthen. With this in mind Blaenau Gwent Council wish to appoint a company who is committed to achieving the provision and maintenance of top quality markets which meet the modern day consumers’ aspirations and which are able to compete effectively in an expanding retail sector.Key objectives of the project are:-- To provide well managed Town Centre markets that will attract both local residents and visitors from outside Blaenau Gwent.- To strengthen the offer of our Town Centres through delivery of successful markets that compliment existing Town Centre Businesses.- To maintain and enhance the cleanliness of the town centres through waste collection service, manual litter picking and mechanical sweeping to ensure the towns are left to a very high standard.- To manage the existing traders and set pitch fees
