Provision of Business Space for Micro-Enterprises

The Council is looking for projects in the rural wards which will bring forward business space suitable for use by micro businesses. This would involve small-scale investment and adaptations to unused or under-utilised space. Features that would strengthen a bid could include the following although these are not compulsory requirements:*The degree to which they would offer support and shared facilities to businesses.*The scope for encouraging networking and links to other businesses and business support organisations.Projects may incorporate space for demonstrations, exhibitions and training. They may also make provision for hot desk facilities and meeting rooms. Capital costs can be supported such as building works, installation of fixtures and fittings, installation of IT infrastructure, office furniture and equipment. This is not an exhaustive list and all legitimate capital expenditure can be considered.
