The successful tenderer will be required to provide cleaning and wardening services at Wilson's School.Wilson's School is a state funded selective school for boys aged 11 to 18 based in Wallington, Surrey. The School has around 1 100 pupils but is expanding over the next 6 years to reach a pupil population of around 1 300. The School comprises of several buildings on 1 school site: the original building dates from the 1970 s and the most recent building, the Lower School was opened in January 2015.The contract encompasses 2 key elements:— daily and periodic cleaning of the interior of all the school buildings — all classrooms, offices, halls, laboratories, toilets, corridors and circulation areas, changing rooms etc. We take pride in the presentation of our facilities and the quality of the cleaning service is vital. The daily clean must take place outside of the school day with deeper cleans in school holiday periods.— the provision of wardening (caretaker) services throughout the year (the site is currently open from early morning to 22:00 on weekdays and daily at weekends) — the provision of a responsive and proactive warden service is vital to the efficient and smooth running of the School. The warden on duty will undertake a large range of different jobs including unlocking and locking up of the school site, moving and setting up furniture and facilities for various school events, internal delivery of parcels, litter picking, overseeing private lettings, minor repairs and maintenance, management of heating, etc.Currently the services are provided via 2 wardens (with 1 relief warden) and around 22 cleaning operatives.The contract will commence on 19.7.2015 for 3 years.
