The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board who are seeking to establish a contract for the supply of Splint Products and Equipment for the Hand Therapy, Occupational Therapy Department.The Outpatient Hand Therapy Department plays a vital role in the management of acute injuries, long term conditions and occupation specific problems for the area of Cardiff and the Vale.Elective, Traumatic and Rheumatological conditions are served by our specialist outpatient teams. Patients are seen from initial referral right through the rehabilitation process until maximum function has been restored.Low temperature thermoplastics are required for immediate fabrication and issue within our busy clinics. A range of off the shelf hand, wrist and / or forearm based splints are necessary for a variety of conditions. Treatments for scars and oedema as well as remedial strengthening are well utilized within this field.
