The University seeks to appoint a Contractor for the Design, Supply, and Installation of an SO2 Gas System and Process Extract System for process testing in the SMaRT/ISM building of the Bay Campus.The Contractor will design, supply, and install which is sufficiently robust in accordance with normal industry standards. The design shall take into full consideration and enable utilisation of the mechanical test frames in operation on the SAIC of at least 80%, with operations spanning 24 hours / 365 days per year.The Contractor will be responsible for a “turn-key” solution providing the design, manufacture, works testing, supply and delivery to site, installation, erection, connecting up, site testing commissioning, performance testing, demonstration, handover in working order and installation records for the services installations.The systems include:• SO2 Gas System and associated works• CO2 Gas System and associated works• Process Extract System, and associated works.This project is located in and around the Institute of Structural Mechanics building on the new Swansea University, Bay Campus, Fabian Way, Swansea. The post code for the works is SA1 8EN.Further information can be found in the tender documents.The funding for this contract is provided from a number of different sources including the Welsh Government, UK Government, and European Investment Bank Loan and the project is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government. The successful contractor will be required to comply with reasonable requests for information from the University to satisfy its own needs or those of the funding bodies.
