Descriptions

The new Public Health (0-19) Children’s Service will be based on the needs of our children, young people and families. It will be outcome and inequalities focused and ambitious for our babies, children, young people, families and communities. It will be innovative and forward thinking in approach and will respond to needs flexibly and positively. It will be fully committed and able to work as part of an integrated system, specifically the new Prevention and Early Help model for the district.The Service will provide a Healthy Child Programme from the antenatal period, 0-19 years for children, young people and families, with transitional support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) up to 25 years.
