Pwllheli Harbour Dredge Material

Gwynedd Councils wishes to engage with the market to establish the level of interest by prospective buyers to make beneficial use of dredge material at Pwllheli Harbour, Gwynedd. The physical characteristics of the material can be divided into two broad categories, which is medium to coarse sand and gravel that have been stockpiled adjacent to the Harbour entrance (NGR SH 38847 34679 // Easting: 238847 Northing: 334679), and finer sand and silts that is contained within the stilling lagoon (NGR SH 37982 34542 // Easting: 237982, Northing: 334542), which is sited at the western side of the Marina. Gwynedd Council seeks to invite offers by prospective bidders that can make beneficial use of both course sand and gravel, and the finer sand and silts. It is estimated that there is approximately 40,000m3 of sand and gravel stockpiled at the harbour entrance and approximately 15,000m3 of sand / silt material in the stilling lagoon.
