The radio desks are also analogue and this is now no longer industry standard. Project Outline To replace existing equipment, as necessary, to achieve a digital studio environment. To achieve IT based connectivity using the web as an additional delivery method to ISDN. To add playout systems and logging facilities to allow the studio to run as a limited commercial operation and to be able to meet all necessary MCPS/PRS reporting guidelines To liaise with university IT services to provide staff and student access to university networks and folders and any audio only network to provide access to playout and editing folders as needed. To provide or modify technical furniture to house the new equipment. To deliver a linked facility where studio 2 is a small news reading facility that can interface with studio 1. To provide capacity for two way connectivity to 'radio studio 3' in the future. To deliver training to the university technical staff in the use of the new facility and provide schematics and documentation to allow servicing and fault finding by third parties.
