Rapid Evidence Assessment to understand Consumer Attitudes and Behaviours

Descriptions

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) requires a Rapid Evidence Assessment (REA), to support ongoing policy development work, for food production, food consumption and a review of consumer behaviours and attitudes to food. The REA shall provide an update to DEFRA's evidence base to reflect changing consumer preferences, consumption habits and priorities. The REA shall include new models of food supply and distribution. The evidence will complement DEFRA's existing research which is used to underpin food labelling policy development, appraisal and enforcement in law, build consumer confidence and strengthen the food economy of the United Kingdom.
