RBBC - Play Equipment and Safer Surfacing Tattenham Recreation Play Area
Descriptions
The Council is seeking to replace the existing play equipment, with items that provide a more natural and inclusive play area using sustainable and recycled materials. This will allow children to explore nature and play elements along with more imaginative and sensory play items, in the play area at the location described. With natural play the terrain is not consistent, and the items being made of different materials helps to teach children problem solving, personal risk assessment and how to adapt to their environment. Children are engaged in more active play in natural playgrounds. New signage will be provided to explain the new site and how the equipment was sourced. The aim is to provide new play equipment that enhances the site, makes best use of the location and provides facilities that meet the needs of children visiting the site. Where possible the equipment installed must meet the obligations under the Equality Act 2010
