Children in Wales’ current website, www.childreninwales.org.uk, was launched in December2005. It benefited from reskin and some additional developments in 2010, however it stilluses the Content Management System (CMS) developed in 2005. We have been advised byhe website company supporting the current site that they will stop supporting this CMS thisyear. As a consequence Children in Wales now wishes to fully rebuild the website.The Children in Wales website will be used both as a marketing tool to provide informationabout Children in Wales’ work, and to provide information about a range of news, policyand services affecting children, young people and their families in Wales.The objectives of the website are:· To provide information to Children in Wales’ members, professionals in thechildren’s sector and the wider public about Children in Wales’ role and activities· To directly enable users to become involved in Children in Wales’ activities· To provide information to professionals and students about news and policyaffecting children and young people in Wales· To signpost professionals, families and the public in Wales to relevant services andinformation· To act as an e-commerce tool· To streamline events management· To host information from projects and campaigns that Children in Wales supports
