Recoating of Sleet brushes and Shoe Gear for the Central, Circle, District and Hammersmith and City lines

Descriptions

This Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) is issued by London Underground Limited (LUL) to obtain market feedback in relation to carrying out surface re-coating of cast, machined parts and brackets used in the shoe gear assemblies and general bracketry of London Underground S Stock (S7) trains namely Circle, District and Hammersmith and City lines. TfL invites suppliers to participate in this Preliminary Market Engagement exercise to help shape the upcoming procurement opportunity. Whilst the current scope is for the S Stock (S7) trains namely Circle, District and Hammersmith and City lines, there is a potential that the scope may include the Central line as a tendered option post Contract. A desk top market engagement has previously been carried out with a select number of suppliers, however this PME hopes to better understand the market, supplier appetite, capacity, and capability, as well as perceived risks and opportunities in relation to the development and finalisation of the Procurement and Commercial Strategy. The engagement will also provide feedback and help to develop the Invitation to Tender via Ariba.
