Repair & Reuse Service & Bulky Waste Collection Service – Flintshire Countywide Collection, Sorting, Repair and Resale Model
Descriptions
The project will establish a long-term partnership to deliver a countywide Repair & Reuse service. The service will manage the assessment, collection, sorting, repair and resale of reusable household items from five Household Recycling Centres and direct resident collections. The model aims to reduce landfill, increase reuse rates, embed industry-standard assessment methods, and develop a sustainable operational partnership with a service provider.
The contract will also include a separate Lot for a Bulky Waste Collection Service
Engagement
We are seeking expressions of interests from any organisations who may be able to deliver this service on behalf of the Authority, in particularly third sector organisations. To express an interest please e-mail procurement@flintshire.gov.uk with a brief overview of the service you are able to provide by no later than 12noon 23rd January 2026. The intention is to have pre-market engagement discussions with interested parties, including any charities, social enterprises and local repair groups. Site visits may also be included in the pre-market engagement phase to understand best-practice shop operations, logistics and repair workflows.
