The Older People’s Commissioner for Wales is commissioning research into the decision-making process of the police and Crown Prosecution Service (Cymru) in safeguarding cases relating to the neglect and ill-treatment of older people (aged 60+) throughout Wales.The research will focus on where the alleged abuse occurs in regulated care homes and NHS hospitals and is suspected to have been caused by a member/s of staff.
