Re-tender of the Construction of New Builds on Caldicot Road

Cardiff Council is committed to building new council homes in order to help tackle housing need. We have been set an initial target of completing 1,000 new council homes by 2022 and to have development programme that will deliver at least 2,000 new council homes in the longer term. Caldicot Road is the first scheme to be delivered through our additional build programme which is aimed at delivering new, quality, energy efficient homes where we most need them.A Contractor has been awarded the scheme of 6 x 1 bedroom flats, 7 x 2 bedroom houses, 2 x 3 bedroom houses and 1 x 4 bedroom houses. All the properties will need to be built to Welsh Government DQR standards for use as council social rented accommodation.
