This was based upon the age of the TPO, and/or the number of area designations within the TPO, and/or because of extensive land use changes around the trees. The Authority is inviting expressions of interest from consultants to carry out re-survey visits of the trees within the 37 identified TPO files with a view to providing the following information for each TPO file –•Are the trees listed in the file still present on site?•Are the trees still worthy of the TPO? (a brief summary of their health and vigour)•How visible are the trees when viewed from a public place? (this could be in the form of photographs to illustrate visibility)•Are there any young trees on site that could be included in a new TPO to protect future tree cover? The 37 TPO files have been listed in order of re-survey importance (a list of the TPO files for re-survey is available on request), and all sites are required to be visited once. Many of the trees may not be clearly visible from a public place and it is anticipated that a follow up visit on an evening or weekend may be required in those circumstances. The work set out above will need to be completed by 23rd February 2015. The budget for the project is a maximum of £10,000.If you are interested in undertaking this work for the Authority as outlined above please set out your anticipated fees, number of days and any other information you consider relevant for the provision of such a service, be it on a time spent or fixed fee basis or a combination of both. Please ensure that any expression of interest includes the following information:•C.V. with a summary of experience, including:oQualificationsoPrevious work as a tree officer or the provision of similar services to Local AuthoritiesoMembership and status within a professional accrediting organisation•Details of employees likely to be carrying out the work•Insurance•Contacts of previous customers who can supply referencesPlease ensure that your Expression of Interest is received by 5pm on 4th September either by post or email to:FAO : Ryan GreaneyBrecon Beacons National Park AuthorityPlas y FfynnonCambrian WayBreconLD3 7HPryan.greaney@beacons-npa.co.ukFollowing receipt of the information, we may shortlist the preferred candidates and interview them on 11th September at a time to be confirmed. If you have any queries or require any further clarification, then please do not hesitate to contact Ryan Greaney, Principal Planning Officer.
