Descriptions
The proposed contract is to engage in the construction of a new 200m long Deep Water Quay located adjacent to the existing Ros an Mhíl Fishery Harbour Centre (FHC), Co. Galway, together with rock blasting and dredging and recovery, to facilitate navigation to the quay.The Works subject under this contract shall entail the main civils work in reclamation and construction of a new 200m long quay and associated facilities to accommodate the future mooring and operation of fishing vessels together with underwater drilling and blasting of approximately 35,000m³ of rock with dredging and recovery into the reclamation area behind the quay wall.The Works include but are not limited to site clearance, excavations, infilling, blasting rock, dredging and recovery of rock, reclamation using imported fill, reclamation using recovered dredged rock, quay wall construction, quay deck surfacing, service installations such as drainage, power, fuel and lighting, fencing and boundary works and all other associated civil engineering and mechanical and electrical works.The Works shall be coordinated between an experienced rock dredging contractor and the main civils contractor (led by main civils contractor).
