SOLAS eCollege requires evaluation services on an ongoing basis. The scope and focus of evaluation will vary in the context of the development of the eCollege offer. With consideration of SOLAS strategic objectives, and role in planning, funding and co-ordinating Further Education and Training in Ireland, evaluations may focus on the suitability of training to the learner profile and may focus on areas such as learner level outcomes, impact assessment and value for money of specific programmes offered by eCollege. Programmes in the context of this evaluation may be a single course, or a suite of related courses. The evaluations may involve analysis of primary and secondary data and may include desk review, analysis of administrative data, surveys, interviews, focus groups etc. The evaluation will make actionable recommendations to SOLAS.
