INTERESTED SUPPLIERS MUST EXPRESS INTEREST VIA WWW.KENTBUSINESSPORTAL.ORG.UK Shepway District Council (SDC) is seeking to appoint an experienced Sports Planning Consultancy to undertake a needs and opportunities assessment for indoor and outdoor sports facilities, incorporating a Playing Pitch Strategy (the 'strategy'), and future need for provision, driven by increased population, and to identify any gaps in the existing facility network. The assessment will support the plan through further consultation, submission to the Secretary of State and public examination. If necessary, the consultant may be required to attend the examination to support SDC in defending the findings of the assessment. The preparation of the strategy will enable SDC and other local providers to shape their future sports facilities offer; this may comprise direct provision and that undertaken by education, voluntary, community, private sectors and National Governing Bodies. The Contract is anticipated to commence upon 2nd October 2017 and will continue for a period of 6 months (with any extensions) unless terminated in accordance with the Conditions of the Contract.
