Silvertown Tunnel Project.

Transport for London (TfL) is looking to enter a competitive procurement process witha view to awarding a long-term availability contract for the design, construct, financeand maintenance of a new river crossing between Silvertown and Greenwich Peninsula ineast London. The river crossing, to be called Silvertown Tunnel, will comprise of awin bore road tunnel alongside Blackwall Tunnel with connections to the A1020Silvertown Way/Lower Lea Crossing at the north and to the A102 Blackwall Tunnelapproach at the south. It is proposed that user charging will be applied to managecongestion and help fund the scheme, although this will not form part of thecontract.
