Suite of equipment to both characterise and generate EMF

Descriptions

The Science Division (SD) of the Health and Safety Executive invites competitive quotations for the supply of the following items to their Laboratory located at Harpur Hill, Buxton SK17 9JN.

HSE-SD is looking to acquire a suite of EMF equipment. The suite will need to enable the measurement of a range of common emitters (WiFi, phones, Bluetooth, inductive chargers etc), and give a profile of both frequency and power. HSE is then looking to be able to generate an RF emission (similar to that measured) aimed at a point (and measuring the signal at that point concurrently with the signal analyser to verify power and frequency). Once verified the sample probe will be removed and replaced with an item of interest, whose response to that RF signal will be observed. Confinement or enclosure of the test articles will not be possible. Testing likely to occur, in part, in an outdoors energetics test bunker.
