1.1IntroductionThis project is part of a new development programme involving the construction of accommodation to attract the attention of potential day visitors outside of Wales as well as attracting holidaymakers looking for alternative family accommodation. The market for quirky accommodation attached to attractions has seen huge growth in recent years with the likes of Legoland, The Alton Towers Resort, Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, Warwick Castle Knight’s Tents, London Zoo, all offering accommodation, etc. The project is not just aimed at increasing footfall during the shoulder periods but for us, extending our season further as the accommodation offering expands and we move to being open 365 days a year.1.2ObjectivesFolly Farm Leisure Ltd is embarking upon a bespoke construction of a holiday park to support the existing leisure operations. Each of the four phases of parks construction will include the supply and establishment of shrubs, Trees and other ground cover as part of a programme of landscpaing.Folly Farm Leisure Ltd are inviting contractors to assist in this development.1.3Time ScalePhase 1 of the project is expected to initially run for 21 weeks from 1st April 2019 to 30 August 2019.1.4LocationThe work will be carried out at Windberry Top farmland, just north but adjacent to the Folly Farm Leisure Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo at Begelly, Kilgetty, Pembrokeshire SA68 0XA.1.5Project activitiesThis tender publictation is seeking sub-contractors to bid for the supply and installation of Landscape plants..A full schedule of the plants required supports this publication which include avariety of :•Wild Flower/ Grassland mixes•Amenity Grassland•Native Shrubs•Native Woodland Mixture•Ornamental Shrubs•Herbaceous and Ground Cover•Individual grasses•Hedgerow•Bulbs•Individual TreesNote:•Planting and Plant schedule covers a 4 phase development, each phase is apportioned accordingly:1.41%2.17%3.17%4.25%•Alterations should be allowed for by the contractor•Contractor should allow all necessary propping & support work associated with the contract•Site visit would be beneficial to appreciate the project works within the clients existing working environmentSECTION 2: INSTRUCTIONS FOR RESPONDING TO THIS REQUEST FOR QUOTATION2.1General Information and conditionsFolly Farm Leisure Ltd wish to appoint a sub-contractor to carry out the work described above. The appointment will be by a process of competitive tendering, advertised through the Sell2Wales website. The requirement is set out in the specification, which is included below.2.2Submission of Written Quotation•Prospective supplier/s are required to submit a written quotation either as a pdf or word document to chris@folly-farm.co.uk•Written Quotations must be submitted no later than the deadline listed on the title page.•Your response must bear the Quotation reference listed on the title page.•The Quotation and all accompanying documents to be submitted together. Once accepted, all details of the Quotation, including prices and rates, submitted by the winning bidder are to remain valid for the duration of the project timeline as indicated earlier in this publication.•Quotations should be priced in pounds sterling (GBP) and all payments will be made in pounds sterling.2.3Queries relating to this Request for Quotation•Any query in connection with the invitation should be sent to chris@folly-farm.co.uk or sandra.hine@folly-farm-co.uk2.4Acceptance of the QuotationFolly Farm Leisure Ltd does not undertake to accept the lowest Quotation, or part, or all of any Quotation, and the acknowledgement of receipt of any submitted Quotation shall not constitute any actual or implied agreement between Folly Farm Leisure Ltd and the Supplier. Folly Farm Leisure Ltd reserves the right to accept any part, or all, of any Quotation or Quotations at its sole discretion. Our evaluator(s) will consider all Quotations correctly submitted and will select one or more with a view to reaching a contractual agreement subject to clarification of any outstanding matters.
