Supply, Delivery, Collection and Disposal of Depolluted End of Life Vehicles
Descriptions
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service have an ongoing requirement for the supply, delivery, collection and disposal of depolluted end of life vehicles.
Current arrangements expire on 31st March 2026. The future contract is planned for commencement on 1st April 2026 and will have a term of up to three years.
These vehicles are used by our Firefighters for training purposes across the geographical area of Devon and Somerset. The current contract is set-up based on the following Lot structure:
• Lot 1 - Barnstaple Area
• Lot 2 - Exeter Area
• Lot 3 - Plymouth Area
• Lot 4 - Taunton Area
• Lot 5 - Torquay Area
• Lot 6 - Yeovil Area
The vehicles supplied are required to simulate a roadworthy condition. Due to the nature of the training and equipment used by our Firefighters, the vehicles will be subject to disassembly, with roofs, windscreens, glass and doors removed.
300-400 vehicles are required per year.
