The Sustainable Environment Research Centre-SERC undertakes national and world-leading research into waste treatment and the sustainable production of energy from waste and grown biomass. To achieve this, considerable investment has been made into the facilities available to researchers and students.SERC is looking for the following pieces of equipment to compliment its existing range of laboratory equipment in order to facilitate its research as well as the variety of educational opportunities it offers.Output specification for the supply of 2 (two) magnetic linkages for stirring a 100L bioreactorRequired as a gas tight drive linkage between a 0.25kw drive motor and a 100L volume stainless steel bioreactor.Critical parameters are as follows:•0.8Nm of torque•Maximum height of 30cm•Threaded and sealed union at bioreactor interface•10-15mm shaft for presentation to drive unit•Stainless steel construction on all reactor facing parts.Full technical specification of the proposed equipment should also be included in the tender submission.
