Operating system enhancement software package. The scope of the Surface Maritime Link 22 Contract is to upgrade the current command systems and integrated data link processor capability aboard the Type 23, Type 45, LPD and QE classes of ship (whether existing or currently contracted for) to incorporate the Link 22 capability, developed and mandated to meet the UK's NATO and wider interoperability commitments.
