Descriptions

The Tactical Systems (TacSys) Delivery Team (formally known as BATCIS) are delivering the LE TacCIS Programme which is part of the Government and Defence Major Projects Portfolio. TacSys is responsible for delivering capability for the Littoral, Land and Air-Land operations; and linking platforms, sensors, bases, individuals, deciders and effectors. The LE TacCIS Programme covers a wide range of projects, each of varying sizes, levels of complexity and integration. Through this programme, we are seeking to deliver capabilities ranging from Tactical CIS for the frontline soldier through to wide area battlefield communications and enabling reach-back to UK based systems. To aid the delivery of this capability, it is our (TacSys) intent to compete the requirement for a private sector support contract, to provide output-based support through a flexible commercial model.
