Technical Design and Fabrication of Two Gateway Portal Signs for Walthamstow Market

Descriptions

As part of the wider improvement programme, Waltham Forest Council is seeking to commission a suitably qualified local creative consultancy, artist and/or design-led fabricator to complete delivery of detailed technical design and fabrication of two gateway portal signs to frame and welcome visitors to Walthamstow Market. These permanent structures will mark the two pedestrian entrances to the High Street - one near St James Street and the other near the Town Square - and will serve as visual landmarks celebrating the identity and cultural significance of the market.

This commission is independent from the main public realm contractor package but forms an integral part of the overall vision to animate and define Walthamstow High Street as a welcoming, distinctive, and inclusive civic space.
