The Future of Telecommunications in the Falklands 2025

Descriptions

Through this Preliminary Market Engagement ("PME"), the Falkland Islands Government ("FIG") seeks information and feedback from potentially interested parties (from herein referred to as a "Participant"), in preparation for a potential Tender (or licensing) process to design and carry out operations and future development of telecommunication and media services on the Falkland Islands.

The purpose of this PME is to:
(a) Gain initial awareness, engagement, and opinion from suppliers.
(b) Help provide a better understanding of the feasibility of the requirement to meet each objective.
(c) Illustrate the future FIG view of the telecommunications market in the Falklands.
(d) Understand the market's capacity to deliver within the desired timeframes and identify any potential risks associated with it.
(e) Provide the market with an opportunity to ask questions, raise queries, and address any issues at an early stage.
(f) Prevent FIG from advertising unachievable future projects on any electronic notification service or platform.

Interested parties should register on FIG's e-procurement platform Proactis Pro-Contract and submit their interest.
