Ejector seats. The Fast Air Support Team (FAST), part of the UK Ministry of Defence, intends to place a 1 year contract with Martin Baker Aircraft Company Ltd for Aircraft Assisted Escape Systems Support (Technical Services and Supply of Spares for Ejector Seats: HJSURV/403). It is considered that this contract can be placed using the negotiated procedure without prior publication pursuant to Article 28(1)(e) Directive 2009/81/EC (Regulation 16(1)(a)(ii) Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011) for technical reasons. Only Martin Baker Aircraft Company Ltd currently has the specialist knowledge and access to the drawings for the Ejector Seats associated systems and fitments which are required to ensure that the required safety standards can be met. The UK MOD intends to advertise its future requirement by July 2014.
