Tight Clearance System
Descriptions
Network Rail has a business and legislative requirement to calculate gauge clearances to all currently cleared rolling stock and freight gauges, that enables efficient capability and risk management. There are also additional requirements to analyse for additional rolling stock, out of gauge loads and track design for renewals and maintenance. The current NR gauging clearance ecosystem is comprised of three applications. A single system is sought that will satisfy all requirements, be simpler to use and more economical to support and maintain.
