Tipperary Town Revitalisation Task Force is a non-profit company that was founded in 2020 to develop and deliver a strategy and action plan for the socioeconomic development of Tipperary Town. The Task Force is made up of multiple stakeholders from the public, private and community & voluntary sectors.In November 2021 the Task Force carried out a public consultation on its draft Strategy and Action Plan, with the final document due for launch in March 2022. The Plan lays outlines four key Pillars including: •Town Identity & Public Realm•Economic Opportunity•Natural Environment and Sustainability•Social Inclusion & Community WellnessTwo of the key actions in the Strategy and Action Plan will be to address the significant social deprivation and disadvantage in the town, and also to develop the unharnessed potential in the creative sector. To that end the Task Force is looking to develop a public art programme throughout the summer of 2022 to drive awareness and interest in the sector, enhance the public spaces in the town and build community wellbeing. Engagement with Disadvantaged and Hard to Reach communities will be a central aspect of the Programme, which is scheduled conclude in July 2022.During 2021 a public survey was conducted, garnering 108 responses, the key themes emerging from the survey are Culture & Heritage, Nature & Biodiversity, Music and SportTipperary Town Revitalisation CLG is seeking to retain the services of a suitably qualified and experienced arts management professional, agent or consortium to curate and manage a Murals Programme. Four suitable walls have been identified in the town centre for Mural installations, and a further community wall in a less prominent location will also be part of the programme.It is envisaged that the programme will begin with workshops throughout May / June 2022, while the Mural installations will take place from July 2022, it is also envisaged that artists will consist of a mix of local, national, a
