Tuition for Children and Young People - Market Engagement

Sheffield City Council (SCC) is exploring the development of a tuition model for children and young people who require education outside of school. Tuition services are typically provided on a 1:1 basis, and can be either online or face to face depending on the needs of the individual pupil. The focus is usually the core subjects (maths, English & science) but we are interested in the value that can be added through delivery of a broader curriculum and preparing young people for adulthood alongside the core subjects. This market engagement aims to understand the capacity, innovation, and expertise within the provider landscape to help us shape a high quality and equitable offer for all learners.

Engagement

The Council intends to use a blended approach to market engagement for this exercise which involves: • the opportunity to comment in response to the project brief and let us know anything you think would be important through written response submitted via the e-tendering portal or the online form, and potential follow-up discussions with respondents. • gauge the level of interest from potential providers who may wish to bid to deliver services. • targeted conversations with any key stakeholders, including potential providers, to ensure we have collected a wide range of views.
