UCAM 032/15 Provision of a set of new synthesis systems (Synthesisers) for production of PET radioph
Descriptions
Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre (WBIC) is part of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences, the University of Cambridge. WBIC is licensed by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Authority (MHRA) for manufacturing short-lived radiopharmaceuticals for clinical and preclinical PET imaging studies.A grant application has permitted WBIC to build a new GMP manufacturing facility, including a suite of new hotcells to accommodate a set of automated radiopharmaceutical manufacturing systems (Synthesisers). Hence the need for a set of Synthesisers arose from the enhanced manufacturing capacity.WBIC requires a set of new synthesis systems (Synthesisers) for efficient and reliable production of 11C-labelled, 18F-labelled and other non-standard radioisotope labelled radiopharmaceuticals for human PET studies under GMP conditions.Note: Despite the present document states ‘Set of Synthesisers’ each proposed synthesis unit will be assessed and awarded on individual basis.
