Objectives of the service: • to treat patients who have been immediately directed into it with unscheduled urgent dental clinical presentations • to undertake a clinically appropriate examination with consideration to the general health of the mouth (and refer where necessary), assessment and investigations; • to provide clinical treatment necessary to meet the patient's immediate urgent presentation and pain management needs; • to refer to other services where necessary This contract relates to treatment of patients in a primary care setting under the NHS (Personal Dental Services) Regulations 2005 VII.1) Information to be changed or addedVII.2) Other additional informationNHS Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West (BOB) Integrated Care Board (ICB) was looking to continue Unscheduled Dental Care (UDC) with the current provider in Berkshire. The contract will be for a term of 2 years. Services are due to commence from 1st April 2026. The maximum total contract value is £263,198.00. There were no declared conflicts or potential conflicts of interest of individuals making the decision. Award decisions have been recommended by the BOB ICB Pharmacy, Optometry and Dental Oversight Group, which is chaired by the Director of Primary Care who reports to the board-level Medical Director. This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. This contract has now been formally awarded using direct award process C.
