Mae Ardal o Harddwch Naturiol Eithriadol Bryniau Clwyd a Dyffryn Dyfrdwy yn ffurfioffin ucheldir dramatig Gogledd Cymru, un o uchafbwyntiau golygfaol ysgytiol Prydain acyn cynnwys Safle Treftadaeth y Byd Traphont Ddŵr a Chamlas Pontcysyllte (STB).Mae’r AHNE yn gyfuniad o fryniau agored i’r gwynt, rhostiroedd grug, creigiau calchfaen a dyffrynnoedd coediog, sydd bron yn cyffwrdd yr arfordir ym Mryn Prestatyn yn y gogledd ac yn ymestyn tua’r de mor bell â Moel Fferna, man uchaf yr AHNE, sy’n 630 metr.Mae Llwybr Cenedlaethol Clawdd Offa yn llwybr hollbresennol ar hyd asgwrn cefn y tir hwn, gan gysylltu ffiniau hynafol Cymru. Mae’n cysylltu lleoedd arbennig yr ardal, yn ogystal â chysylltu â'r gororau deheuol a Llwybr Arfordir Cymru tu hwnt.Mae hefyd yn gartref i Langollen a Chorwen, trefi bregus yn economaidd yn ogystal ânifer o bentrefi gwledig. Mae gan y trefi cyfagos canlynol; Rhuthun, Dinbych, yr Wyddgrug, y Waen a Phrestatyn berthynas arbennig â Bryniau Clwyd a Dyffryn Dyfrdwy.Amcan yr astudiaeth yw mesur ac asesu buddion economaidd a lles cymdeithasol y 6 safle allweddol ar draws AHNE Bryniau Clwyd a Dyffryn Dyfrdwy tra’n deall yr effaith amgylcheddol, sef:Parc Gwledig LoggerheadsParc Gwledig Moel FamauRhaeadr y Bedol a Maes Parcio a Man Picnic LlantysilioTraphont ddŵr Pontcysyllte a Basn Trefor.Panorama ger LlangollenTraphont ddŵr a Thraphont y WaunClwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) forms thedramatic upland frontier of north Wales, one of Britain’s unmissable scenic highlights andincludes the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and canal World Heritage Site (WHS).This AONB is made up of a dramatic combination of windswept hilltops, heather moorland,limestone crags and wooded valleys, almost touching the coast at Prestatyn Hillside in thenorth and stretches south as brooding Moel Fferna, the highest point in the AONB at 630metres.Offa’s Dyke National Trail is an ever-present pathway along this land’s spine, recalling theancient margins of Wales. It links up the area’s special places, as well as connecting with thesouthern marches and Wales Coast Path beyond.It is also home to the busy but economically fragile towns of Llangollen and Corwen as well ashe many rural villages. The nearby towns of Ruthin, Denbigh, Mold, Chirk and Prestatyn havean important relationship with the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley.The objective of the study is to measure and assess the economic and social wellbeingbenefits of 6 key visitor sites across the Clwydian range and Dee Valley AONB whilstunderstanding the environmental impacts, namely:Loggerheads Country ParkMoel Famau Country ParkThe Horseshoe Falls and Llantysilio Green Car Park and Picnic AreaPontcysyllte Aqueduct and Trefor Basin.Panorama, Near LlangollenChirk Aqueduct and Viaduct
