The project work at both the Southport and Ormskirk Hospital sites to improve the internal and external storage of portable 1100 litre bins, as part of a wider Waste Management strategy within the Trust. In summary the proposals comprise the following: Southport District General Hospital Internal alterations to provide multiple new Stores on both Ground and First Floors Alterations to an existing enclosed external Store to provide a new roof over. A new roofed external Store enclosure, close to the existing store Ormskirk District General Hospital Internal alterations to provide multiple new Stores on Levels 1-4 Extension and alterations to an existing enclosed external Store to increase its capacity The work will be carried out in live areas of both Hospitals and as such the working areas will be fully enclosed, whilst not affecting circulation routes. Delivery and collections of Hospital material at Southport will be affected by the proximity of the site compound and will be managed by the contractor on a daily basis in conjunction with Trust representatives.
